Janice Walton, PhD

Dr. Janice Walton has a Ph.D. in Psychology. She was a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and Washington State for 25 years. She is also a certified NLP Coach. She supervised interns seeking licensure as a mental health professional for 25 years.
Three years ago, her life changed dramatically and irrevocably, when her husband of 58 years had emergency surgery. He had been experiencing some memory loss, but after the surgery and a long hospital stay, the loss was dramatic. Since then, he lost his job, he barely knows his family members or how they are related, and he cannot remember what is said from one minute to the next. The search to make the most of life while being a care-provider led Dr. Walton to write the book Aging Better: 30 Lessons for Making the Most of Your Later Years.
Dr. Walton also runs The Learning Corner, a website to provide insights for mental health professionals.
